More than 8 million people participated in the third No Kings protests against the Trump administration, according to event organizers.

These global demonstrations targeted Trump’s policies on the Iran war, immigration enforcement, and the rising cost of living.

Organizers condemned Trump’s leadership style, asserting that power belongs to the people, not to “wannabe kings or their billionaire cronies.” The White House dismissed the protests as “Trump Derangement Therapy Sessions.”

Protests occurred in nearly every major U.S. city, including New York, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles, with large crowds marching through significant locations like the Lincoln Memorial and the National Mall.

Protesters displayed effigies of Trump and other officials, demanding their ousting and arrest.

A notable protest in Minnesota was sparked by the deaths of two citizens due to federal immigration agents, which ignited outrage and nationwide demonstrations against immigration tactics.

High-profile Democrats joined the protests in Minnesota, with Bruce Springsteen performing an anti-immigration enforcement song.

In New York City, actor Robert De Niro emphasized the need for resistance against Trump, stating the situation worsens daily and urging peaceful fight against the regime.

The previous No Kings protest in October saw over 100,000 attendees in New York alone.

However, incidents of violence were reported, including two arrests in Los Angeles for assaulting federal law enforcement, and confrontations that led authorities to use non-lethal measures to disperse crowds.

Other arrests occurred when protesters defied dispersal orders near a federal prison, illustrating tensions surrounding these protests.

Reuters reported that arrests occurred in Dallas due to minor scuffles as counter-protesters interrupted the No Kings march.

Protests also took place abroad in cities like Paris, London, and Lisbon, with over 8 million total participants, surpassing the previous rally’s attendance.

Despite the mobilization of the National Guard in several states, organizers assert the events have been peaceful.

Since January 2025, Trump has increased presidential power through executive orders and the deployment of National Guard troops, claiming his actions are necessary for national recovery.

Critics, however, argue that these moves threaten democracy and are unconstitutional.
