Mr.Beast surpasses T-Series to become the most subscribed channel in the world
MrBeast has overtaken T-Series as the largest YouTube channel in a long-running battle for the most subscribers. Indian music label T-Series, which uploads trailers and music videos, has held the record for the largest YouTube channel for five years.
MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, was already the person with the biggest following. At the age of 26, he has made history on the platform with 269 million subscribers, dethroning T-Series and putting him above all others.
Across nearly 800 videos, MrBeast has made a name for himself with massive stunts. Including being given private islands, being buried alive and staging a real-life version of the Netflix hit Squid Game.
In a post on X, MrBeast said he finally “got revenge” on YouTube star Felix Kjellberg, also known as PewDiePie, by surpassing T-Series’ 266m subscriber count.
In 2019, T-Series channel surpassed PewDiePie channel to become the channel with the highest number of subscribers in the world and in 2023, MrBeast channel had about 127 million subscribers and at that time T-Series channel had about 233 million subscribers. However, in less than a year and a half, it has gained more than 100 million subscribers and has the highest number of subscribers in the world. MrBeast has now become a YouTube channel.
MrBeast becoming the most subscribed person and channel on YouTube means he has further extended his grip and wealth on the platform. He has several other channels dedicated to his gaming, philanthropy and responses to other content. Each accounts for tens of millions of subscribers.
