“Masters of the Universe” live-action Teaser Trailer Released
In the first trailer for the upcoming film “Masters of the Universe,” young Prince Adam of Eternia is sent to Earth by his mother, Queen Marlena, for protection.
Now an adult named Adam Glenn, he works a mundane corporate job and sketches a sword he once saw, hoping to locate it through the internet.
Upon finding the Sword of Grayskull, Adam is drawn back to Eternia, where he must confront the evil Skeletor, who plans to conquer Eternia and the universe. Teaming up with Teela (Camila Mendes) and her father, Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), Adam battles the encroaching malevolent forces.
Directed by Travis Knight and written by Chris Butler, the movie features Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, who transforms into He-Man, and Jared Leto as Skeletor.
The film is based on comic books from 45 years ago, which inspired a classic 1980s toy brand and an animated series, as well as a 1987 live-action film featuring Dolph Lundgren and Frank Langella. The cast also includes Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress, and many others.
Amazon MGM and Mattel Studios will release Masters of the Universe in theaters on June 5.
